So you agree with Sir Keith rather than the experts?

Good point. I meant “leading economists and diplomats”.
You agree with Sir Sturmfuhrer Keith rather than “a bunch of self appointed truth tellers”?

No. But not agreeing with Sir Kristalnacht is not the same as agreeing with some spectral eurofrotteur hacks.

"France's far right National Rally (RN) has made big gains in the first round of the parliamentary election, exit polls suggest
Celebrating her party's early success, Marine Le Pen says "democracy has spoken" as she declares President Emmanuel Macron's camp 'practically wiped out.'"

I don't think they can have made big gains yet. They probably will make big gains, but with 33% of the vote nationally there are probably only a few constituencies where they have over 50% of the vote so it will be going to a run-off in most of them next weekend.
Usual dogshit understanding of voting system from the UK media.

"Clément Beaune, Emmanuel Macron’s anti-Brexit pitbull, lost his Paris seat in the first round of France’s snap election.
Mr Beaune, who was Europe minister during the Brexit negotiations, was notorious for his social media attacks on Britain’s decision to leave the EU, which he said was an “intellectual fraud” based on “many lies”."

Yeah, it seems like a lot of the Macronistes has fallen and it'll be a run-off between the fascists and the center left.
It will be interesting after decades or run-offs where people have been told to vote for right-wingers like Macron and Chirac to keep out the fascists whether those same center right voters actually believe that sh*t or will turn out to be enablers when push comes to shove.

Depends how many want a full on return to Vichy government I suppose. Same in the UK, how many Tories are really willing to vote for the British League of fascists and risk the Tories not even being the official opposition.

It looks like 70%+ of Brits are going to vote for one or other form of the British League of Fascists.

"A late own goal by Jan Vertonghen sent France into the quarter-finals of Euro 2024 at Belgium's expense.
A game that had lacked quality and excitement for large periods looked destined for extra time, but a shot by substitute Randal Kolo Muani deflected off Vertonghen with five minutes remaining to seal the victory at Dusseldorf Arena."
Curiously fitting.

It looks like the Freunch have a choice between Le Pen's centrist RN and the collaboration between the far isleftofascists, NFP and Macron's extreme leftists.

France have still not scored a goal of their own from open play.
Also
"A game that had lacked quality and excitement for large periods ..." and "A country on the verge of voting in a bunch of hateful rightwing dickheads to replace the current bunch of unpleasant rightwing dickheads..."
We really only dislike each other because we're so similar.
