In the French election, it appears that lots of constituencies are going to 3-way run-offs.
All the left-wing parties are standing aside in any constituency where they were third in order for the other party to have a better chance of beating the fascists.
Macron's lot claim to be standing aside anywhere they were third, unless the top two are RN and Melenchon's mob, which is bad but just about understandable because Melenchon's a complete twunt. He's still better than the facsists but I can see why you wouldn't want to endorse him/
The Republicans, Chirac's old lot, the closest equivalent to the Tories, are just sitting on their hands and doing nothing to resist the fascist takeover of France. Quelle surprise.

There appear to be enough fighting-age men in places like Aldershot, Hartlepool, London and Southport, so a bit of biblical "mote and beam" analysis might be good at this point.
I suppose the one key difference here is that our typical home-grown variant appears be hideously white, probably right-wing, astonishingly ill-informed, and perhaps somewhat uneducated.
