That was 2016 van. Apples and pears, darlin', apples and pears. 04/08/2020 actually. Still a lot. Billions in fact. In fact I heard that EVERYONE wants to move to the EU bar you and mids, who are going to continue living together in Cosy Nook, Bexhill-on-Sea.

The good news is that it's Mids' turn to wear his pyjama bottoms the wrong way round tonight ....

Yes. I knew, of course, that you’d grab hold of this, but if you read the whole article and not just the headline, you’ll see that this freight traffic is returning to the EU empty 50% to 60% of the time; normally, empties make up 25% to 30% of EU-bound freight traffic. That said, we’re likely to enter recession some time this year as some exporting companies shy away from trade with the EU due to paperwork and excessive charges, so I cannot see this situation changing any time soon.
So, am I surprised by any of this? Not in the slightest bit.

I genuinely don’t get why any EU country (with the exception of Ireland) cares about whether or not the UK chooses to leave. The EU economy loses 15% of its GDP and the population goes down from 510 million to 445 million.

Since 2016. Still not current. Still rubbish data. How is tracking a pattern over 4 years “not current”? That’s poor comprehension even for you.

Even Ireland won’t care sooner or later, as direct EU / Eire ferry traffic proves itself increasingly viable. The UK will, literally, be increasingly bypassed as I, for one, cannot think of that many goods or services that Ireland can buy from the UK that they cannot get from the EU.
