The severe cost of the world’s baby bust"But our actual capacity to have children is in steep decline, as evidenced by a shocking 50 per cent decline in sperm count since 1970 and an equally rapid increase in age-adjusted miscarriage rates." "The most likely cause of this is endocrine disruption, which is the hijacking of our body’s hormonal system by environmental toxicants." "Infertility is beginning to rise rapidly and, combined with the increasing age at which women in developed countries are having children, is leading to greater difficulty conceiving." "The tens of thousands of artificial organic chemical compounds that we use in everyday life are undoubtedly contributing to these effects. The detrimental health effects of some, such as bisphenol A, phthalates and perfluorinated compounds, are already well known. More research is needed to discover other culprits." hotair.com/headlines/archives/2021/03/severe-cost-worlds-baby-bust/

Nowhere in the article does it attempt to explain “the severe cost” of the alleged baby bust.

This whole hysterical nonsense is just bollox, you'd have to a complete idiot to think human birth rates are about to suddenly plummet, cos what, chemikilz. It flies in the face of everything we know about these things, still the right, nit encumbered by a need for evidence, facts or reality for that matter.
That being said even if this fever dream cane about, falling human population is good thing in many ways.

Fewer Western people would surely be only a good thing for the planet considering how muh greater our environmental impact is. This is probably just nature balancing things out.

I spent much of my life believing the ’women who have a career before kids end up never having kids because they’re old and barren’ stuff. So when at 34 my then fella begged for a kid, I said well we can try because honestly I thought I’d get loads of sex and probably split up long before a conception happened. In the event I was pregnant within a month. So be careful what you believe.

Forget the schmaltz, kids are a f**k**g nuisance. Why let a complete stranger into your life who's going to take advantage of you, break your heart and generally wear you out? It' why sex is so attractive. Without it we'd die out.

Well, it is actually quite fun once they can talk. They’re like kittens but more entertaining. The baby years though, christ alive I will never understand how anyone can get through that and think yeah, I could do that again, let’s have another one.

In the event I was pregnant within a month. So be careful what you believe. I do love this. The people who think you can either A) Have kids (and date and marry etc.) Or B) Have a job But NOT BOTH. Why on earth do they think that? And note they only ever believe that is true for women, not men. How long exactly do they think the final stages of pregnancy last?! To be honest I know quite a few woman without children and while the reasons are myriad I don’t think I ever met a woman with no kids because of her career.

Planning and having children is not responsible? Ok. Depends if she's planning on four of them not surviving.

Thing is, in the UK until very recently men had nothing more than 2 weeks of EU-imposed paid (lowly) paternal leave. So women had to put their career on hold to look after any kids, unless I suppose she was earning enough that her bloke could give up his salary to be home with them. Not many high-flying careers you can take a couple of years and not find it a set-back.
