I always wondered how much legal weight an NDA holds to prevent someone reporting an actual crime.
I am not surprised about Fayed - he always had an air about him.

Women now, as then, have every right to go about their work without being perved on, pawed or penetrated by playboy bosses. Given the climate at the time, I do wounder what these women thought they might be getting themselves into, accompanying such a bloke to Paris or St. Tropez. I should add that the same applies to blokes. QV those lads that feature in the stories about the fashion boss and his bumga-bumga parties. You have to wonder WTF they were thinking.

Scum. 9 years though? Nowhere near long enough. "A WOMAN was raped by three men after getting in a fake taxi on a night out in a "truly disturbing" attack. Three men have been jailed for a combined total of 25 years after the lone woman got into their car thinking it was a registered cab." www.thesun.co.uk/news/30591146/woman-raped-fake-taxi-hull/

They're worried the victim might not be white.

The hardest looking 18 year olds I have ever seen. I think rape sentences for rape are fairly pathetic. They seem to have received the typical sentence but given the tendency for people to only serve half they need to be much longer. I also wonder what story they told her to convince her that it was a legal taxi with three occupants. Poor woman.

I agree wholeheartedly.
Rape is a crime that can leave the victim scarred for life, both mentally and physically. The negative impact of it in terms of trust in the male sex, the ability to form relationships, the ability to have a physical relationship, the ability to have children etc. are all well documented and researched, and we should therefore think long and hard about the sentencing of convicted rapists.
I have only been the victim of a crime (a burglary) once in my life, but I hardly give it a thought any more. Not so rape victims, for whom the violation, the violence, the scars, the perceived whispers and judgment can follow them around daily

Agreed. And it's also important to re.e.ber that the menace of rape and assault are a permanent presence for women and less robust people generally.
I have always walked about without any particular fear of either. That is a natural advantage that not everyone enjoys.

I've been sexually assaulted by chicks twice, both times in public. It never bother me precisely because I could easily have stopped it, had they persisted. In fact I struggle to really think of it as sexual assault.

Sadly too many men especially judges and dibble appear to continue the myth rape is somehow the fault of the women, it shouldn't matter how much she drinks, what she was wearing where she was walking or what car she got in, and yet.

And this, interestingly only happens with women. Never with male victims. I remember years ago the serial attacker and killer of gay men who targeted men he brought home with. None of the news articles centred on how stupid these men were going home with a stranger. With female victims that’s the primary concern.

People don't like to criticise gay lifestyles.
