Maybe confine them to making the tea and comforting victims?

The BBC are making a bit of a meal over the murder of a middle class white woman, aren't they?

There's quite a bit of hysteria over this. Alhibi-Brown was saying that police constables with penises shouldn't patrol on their own. The defund the police mob don't know whether to have a shower, a shave or a shite.

I had a nice email from Dibble this afternoon. A few weeks ago Mrs. B and I watched as a police van nearly ran over a little old lady who was crossing the road. After an initial attempt to brush me off, they seem to have applied themselves to finding the oafs in question.
There was a certain glee in their email today that they've found the perps and they'll be getting a proper bollocking on Monday.
Good. They behaved very badly and it's not fair on decent coppers that a few wideboys behave like this.

My two brushes with Dibble this year. Had a bike nicked from outside Sainsbury's on the high st in midday. I reported it to plod. They kindly informed me they weren't going to pursue it. I got rear ended on the high st by a couple of gold toothed clowns in a hot hatch who proceeded to f*CK off. Fortunately I had their reg. I reported it to plod. They kindly informed me they weren't going to pursue it.

Given the Wayne Couzens news, they should have been policing Whatsapp, as opposed to joining in.

The lesson I learned is to stand your ground, be fair and reasonable, then make it quite clear that they'll be next.

Have to say here, in my much younger days I once punched a police inspector in the guts but they didn't charge me for it, just gave me a bashing in the police station. Fair dos says I. They're not all bad.

Mark me if they want. Not sure I care about a few wideboys who would struggle to catch their own breath.

Really? They're still a big thing here, although covid's slowed it down a bit, mainly afternoon breathalysers.

Absolutely. Katie Price would have been pretty confident when she set off the other night.
An actual checkpoint like the French and Spanish go for is entirely unheard of, but even a pull for rubbish driving is a huge rarity now. I haven't been stopped in over a decade, probably more, and I drive like I've nicked it.

They occasionally have stops on Clapham hight st where they are pulling over random cars. They actually have signs up saying cyclists requested to stop must pull over. I'm not sure what its about though. Wouldn't be the first time I've cycled home from the Golf club with a few inside me.

You can't be busted for drink-cycling, surely?

You certainly used to be able. Drunk in charge of a vehicle - you can get points and lose your license. The police almost never did unless you were behaving like a total and utter arse in other ways, but the option was always there.
