Handing out the 35-year minimum term on Thursday, Mrs Justice Whipple told Hussein: “You committed these vicious attacks. You did it to kill. You did it for money and a misguided pursuit of power. “This was a calculated and deliberate course of conduct, planned and carried out with precision. “Bizarre though the pact with the devil may appear to others, this was your belief system, your own commitment to the murder of innocent women. “No family should have to endure this.” The only shame is the sentences are concurrently. Consecutively would have been better. |

Julie Morris, 44, of Ancroft Drive, Hindley, could be seen crying as she appeared at Liverpool Crown Court via videolink from prison. Ms Morris worked at a primary school in Wigan but the charges are not related to her employment. Her co-accused, David Morris, 52, who is no relation, admitted 34 offences. Mr Morris, of Sandfield Road, Eccleston, who appeared at the same court via videolink from HMP Altcourse, will be sentenced on 22 December, when Ms Morris will be asked to enter a plea. Ms Morris is accused of two counts of rape, nine counts of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity, three counts of taking an indecent photo of a child, and one count of possessing indecent photos of a child. She is also charged with one count of engaging in sexual communication with a child and two counts of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child. |

This time in Kenya. Poor woman. Just doing her job in peace and somebody takes her life. He confessed to killing a sex worker before leading them to a body hidden in the septic tank, it's alleged. "He took me to the tank and lifted it up, and I looked in and I just remember seeing her in there," Soldier Y said. "My heart sank. My mind just went blank. The only thing I could say to him was: ‘I’ll never forgive you for this’.” Soldier Y said he reported the incident to senior officers and accused the regiment of "covering up" the murder. Agnes' body was discovered two months after the soldiers returned to the UK. At an inquest in 2019, Judge Njeri Thuku ruled that Agnes was "murdered by British soldiers". |

It's a shambles of a story. The victim was stabbed and battered, not choked to death as the squaddies were suggesting. The judge is a feminist magistrate. She offered an opinion that the girl was murdered but I see no evidence that she attributed that murder to anyone.

What’s interesting about this case in another example of Men Behaving Badly, is that it’s a reversal of what usually happens in that the victims name is plastered all over the press but the accused’s name is being kept secret (except for all over the British military of course.)
The press are being rather kind.
