Last weekend of consolidated slacking. Start the new job on Tuesday. Ooooh, it'll be a wrench. They're already getting on my tits a bit. Got an email this morning about my new IT kit. I wanted this last week so that I could be set up ready, rather than have to spend my first couple of days setting up and learning systems.

I'll probably spend my weekend trying to find the part number I need for the carburettor gasket kit for the lawnmower. Then I'll order it and discover there's a supply problem because of the war in Ukraine so I'll have to borrow my friend's mower, which means I'll have to fix the trailer lights, which means finding the par...
Or I'll just say bollocks and wait until I'm in a better mood. Useless asking the nearest mower man because (teeth sucking display) he's booked up until the year 2038 and won't have the part anyway but he's got a new one he can sell me at a special price (higher than anywhere else). Or maybe I'll mulch the apple trees with cowshit.
Friday evening 18h48 maybe I'll crack a bottle of St Estephe and just think about it.

Gasket smasket. Spunk a load of silicone mastic in there a nip it up tight as f**k. Job's a good un.

I’m in New York. Flew here on the seaplane from Boston harbor. Not cheap but avoids all the airport sh*t and all the Ubers or the 90 minutes of public transport bollocks. Not for a weekend of very expensive eating…

Prob 20 years since having to replace a lawnmower carburettor gasket, but iirc it only required a plain piece of material and the knackered gasket used as a template to cut a new one.
It was easy anyway.

The float planes here are a mix of de Havilland Beaver, Single Otter and Twin Otter, not sure anyone operates flying boats anymore.

Ah, yes. I thought it might be. Very much the default seaplane. Very nice aeroplane, by all accounts.

Wow! That's amazing. Great shot too. I was a bit worried that your photo might be NSFW.
