No, not much admittedly. But the last time - enough. Not good for the back.

Its snowing like fcuk here, its waist deep in places now and bloody cold.
Time to stay in and ponder stuff like, gravity is the universes most fundamental force, but if you remove it all you'd have is gravy.

It's turned nippy here too. Don't expect snow. Miserable time of year. So bleak. It was even worse in Cornwall last week. Eeeeugh .... I'm back off to Spain as soon as possible.
Plumbing ops this weekend. I installed a new kitchen tap on Monday and it's turned into a much bigger job as the bodging git who used to own the house (and now lives next door) has left a catalogue of unbearable badges that I just cannot live with. Awful, just awful.

Plumbing me no like. Although oddly enough I just changed the bath tap shower unit thing and I haven't yet flooded the house (no mockers PLEASE).
Yep. Snow here too. About an inch of it so far which means the roads'll be chaotic and full of drivers too heavy on the pedals sliding all over the place. I used to tow them out but I leave them to it now.

I was troubled by a mystery thumping noise yesterday evening. It was irregular, maybe 1-2 times over a minute and it varied in volume. At first I thought it was coming from far away, outside; maybe fireworks or maybe the farmer doing something across the fields. I then decided it was something on or in the roof so I went outside and was looking on the roof with a torch but nothing. It was only after about an hour, I realised it was a guitar amp "popping" because the guitar I had plugged in has a battery and it was running low and causing the pops. It must have been at just the right frequency to reverberate through the house, making it hard to pinpoint where it was coming from. Queer. I only realised where it was coming from when I was in the same room as it happened.

Thinking of plumbing, I have guys coming to do a service on our central heating, because I haven't had one done since moving in. I, of course, am not touching the damned thing. Anyway, they've cancelled on me two days in a row now... The good news is that this is hopefully prevention, not cure.

I'd agree, but with electrical skills, it helps if you have a good grounding (sorry)

Certainly does - mustn't forget the earth bonding on your plumbing.

Yes, don't bodge such jobs. No swinging the lead.

Busy day at Voice acres, did a very impulsive thing and doubled the size of our chicken flock, someone needed to re-house their birds due to moving. Spent all day building a chicken tractor to aid integration of the two flocks.
Good job we like eggs.

Never heard of a chicken tractor before. Looks like a fun thing to build.
I've moved back to my home town after over 30 years, and realised I don't remember it very well. Spent the weekend cycling around, exploring. Very enjoyable.

If there's one thing I regret in life, it's leaving Australia! However, I understand why my ex wanted to come home and if you're not happy where you are, you'll never be happy.
My move was easy but I travel light and it's just me - divorced and all that. Got family to stay with here until I get my own place, and I only moved from Norfolk.
Forgotten how beautiful it is around here, on the edge of the Peak District. When we came back from Oz, we left everything in storage there until getting settled, then got it shipped. Worked well, but depends how much you have. Now, I'd just sell off sellable stuff, give the rest away, pack a bag and piss off

I cannot get my family to move to Oz which is the issue. And I am about to become great-aunt so would like to be around to see my niece’s child grow up. Australia will always be here I will be selling absolutely everything.
