I cannot get my family to move to Oz which is the issue. And I am about to become great-aunt so would like to be around to see my niece’s child grow up. Indeed. Lost a lot of my family over the past decade. Want to be closer to the rest now. Yeah that's a chicken tractor alright, but I wonder if voice has built up something from wood and mesh laying around. Prob what I would do

Each time we do a long distance move we get rid of an absolute ton of stuff, move to a bigger house and somehow fill it up. It’s great for getting rid of clutter but we seem to be bad at getting rid of the big things - particularly furniture.
My weekend was spent mostly outside. 70 miles on the mountain bike (on the flat) on Saturday. Golf in the heat and dust and wind yesterday - we actually bailed after 15 holes. Then went for an anniversary dinner last night and - on top of the paired wines - I had a cocktail that was almost pure alcohol and now feels like it was quite a mistake.

Yeah, it's so you can move em about, buy we're using it so the birds can get yo know each other without fighting. We'll gradually integrate them over about 3 weeks

It's not the weekend but, I'm back in The North. 16 hours and 1000 miles of driving. We set off yesterday afternoon to get ahead of some forecasted dangerous winds and thunderstorms all up the east coast. It's a slog.

Nope. We had the cats with us, and they hate hotels. We stopped to switch drivers a few times, get petrol twice, and get coffee once. That was it.

I've spent the last couple of days servicing and cleaning the bike, the shed I keep it in collapsed cos of all the snow we had, a few things needed fixing, but it's all done ready for riding season.
So off for a blast after lunch

I am relieved to have discovered that our house didn't collapse because of all the snow. There was a risk.

I have to have a Covid swab test at St George's Hospital at 4:00pm on Friday - and isolate for the weekend. Then turn up at 7:00am on Monday morning for the second operation on my Pharyngeal Pouch. Instead of going down my throat - this time they're cutting through my neck. So I hope it works. I'll be fed food and water through a tube down my nose into my stomach for a least a week.
Apart from that nothing much.

I'll be fed Malbec through a tube down my nose into my stomach for a least a week. Apart from that nothing much. Doesn't sound too bad. Fingers crossed though.

That sounds horrible. Not being able to eat?
Good luck.
Also, you must be one of the last people in England to actually get an NHS covid test, aren't you?

Thanks guys - yeah no test no op. I wake up in a Covid secure ward - with a locked door - all the staff & patients have been tested - and no visitors allowed.

Uh huh. You wake up in a "ward" with a locked door. Secure.
You were convicted this morning, weren't you?

And "St George's Hospital" is really The Scrubs up the road, isn't it?

No Wandsworth.
I'll be able to see the County Arms from my cell window.
When they finally let me have a window.

I had a patient once who used a funnel to pour whiskey down his feeding tube.
Not that I'd recommend it.

1. Brunch with friends
2. Catch-up with another friend who I have not seen in a year, before he becomes a dad again and vanishes
3. Home clear out
4. Job hunting
5. Planning my weekend break to Canberra.
All the best with the procedure WKC.
