Certainly looks like it to me. It felt like a weird thread for that story but yes, again it looks like inadequate right wing men given access to guns.

I saw a video yesterday of a 12 year old with a hand gun robbing a "convenience" "store" (might have been a "gas" "station"). The "clerk" didn't get the money quickly enough so he fired a shot into the ceiling. Tragic and scary.

In another video, two men at a gun range were taking selfies and one bloke jokingly held a gun to the head of his mate. The gun range man, with lightning reflexes, grabbed the gun and hustled them both away, presumably never to return to that or any other gun range.

I was out shooting with a mate a few years ago and as we climbed a stile from one field to another, me leading, I turned to see him halfway over looking down as he negotiated the stile, with his unbroken and loaded x2 barrel 12bore pointing at my head. When I gently pushed it away he looked up, laughed, and said, oops, sorry.

When I was doing my TA training, years ago, one of the lads had been marked as being a bit careless with where his rifle was pointing. Not deliberate but a few times he'd turn to someone and the barrel would move with him a bit too much to be comfortable. One time we were on the range with live rounds and afterwards, one of the staff said he'd been back in the dunes with his rifle pointed at the lad's head just in case he got dangerously careless. Dunno if it actually happened but the NCO told us he'd done it.

I know plenty about Catholic school abuse having attended a Jesuit school & have railed against their excesses for a v long time & changes have curtailed their behaviour .
However , the incidents across Northern towns was deliberately ignored for a generation & when it was raised the first line of defence has been “racism”…..

They report the news. Why would they be conducting a police investigation into the perpetrators of an incident in Nigeria? Which other news outlets do you expect to be spending time and money solving international crimes?

It's hilarious. Cornyn appears to have to walk away because the rest of his party can't handle the idea that abusive boyfriends shouldn't be allowed to buy guns.

Basically, the Republicans are now saying no to any of the actual gun control parts of this legislation, which would leave it solely as extra funding for "school security" - basically making schools into fire-traps by removing doors, and making them into armed fortressed by paying for loads more incompetent and disinterested armed guards.

Another mass shooting, this time a sniper targeted a 4th of July parade, at least 6 dead and 30 injuries.

Shooter left behind a large caliber rifle and is still at large.
