Wonder what's gone on here? The suspects look like indigenous types. Some sort of tribal dispute? "Canadian police have launched a huge manhunt for two men suspected of stabbing at least 10 people to death in a rampage that has shocked the nation. Two suspects named as Damien Sanderson and Myles Sanderson are on the run and considered armed and dangerous. Victims were found in 13 locations in the remote indigenous community James Smith Cree Nation and nearby Weldon. It is of the deadliest acts of mass violence Canada has seen. PM Justin Trudeau said it was "heartbreaking". At least 15 others were injured in the killing spree, with police urging residents to be extremely vigilant as they conduct a search operation across one of Canada's largest and most remote regions." www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-62790900

I blame the Catholic Church. Just to save time, really.

Strangely enough, my father who was in the Normandy landings in 1944 said the Canadian troops were particularly troublesome, arrogant and aggressive to the allied forces.

Churchill said something along the lines of Canadian troops being the best "shock" troops in the allied forces. I do find Canadians have a slight tendency to be a bit moaning-faced and up their own arses.

The Canadians certainly have a reputation for aggression and fightiness when it comes to warfare. Not something I've noticed in the general population in peacetime.

Will be interested to see what reason the murders give, if they can be taken alive.

Saying here, some were targeted others random.
These far northern communities are a bit grim.

This is especially gay.
"The city is quiet, with many shops shuttered for the Labour Day long weekend.
In Victoria Park in the city centre, families called the attacks "horrific" and "sad". "It's on everyone's mind," Deena Arthur told the BBC.
"They're not monsters, they're people. Something has happened to them to make this happen."
Another woman said the stabbings have left her "stomach in knots". She wonders how something like this could happen in Canada."
I think you've answered your own question there.
Still, there is at least the opportunity for a decent limerick.

That’s the third story I have read in as many weeks about a criminal being deemed safe to reintegrate into society and immediately committing a violent crime (UK, USA and now Canada.) Appears as though multiple parole systems are broken.

Apparently according to statistics, prisoners subjected to capital punishment do not reoffend….! Without exception apparently….

They all seem to involve stunning naivety coupled with hearing what they want to hear.
