I suspect it's not extreme, far, centrist enough, old boy. Do keep up!
Seriously though, Oxford IS a successful city compared to - ooh, let's think - Kingston-upon-Hull, Lincoln, Newcastle, Sunderland etc. etc., so I suspect real envy looms large there, especially since Oxford has refused to be played by any of the Westminster elites and their various agendas - including Labour.

Oxford does have an unfair advantage.

Disagree. Oxford has a perfectly fair advantage.

Perhaps you're thinking of a different advantage?
I was thinking that I can only have come from one city.

Fair dinkum.
My point is that Oxford's fair advantage is that the local Labour council there is delivering on the mandate on which it stood (and continues to stand), even if that leads to tussles with Starmer's Parliamentary Labour Party. Compare and contrast with the cities I've cited (and others in the Red Wall) who have essentially sold their souls to the devil, assuming as they did that the Tories' Brexit lie, their trickle-down economics bs, and the disaster in offering massive tax cuts for the wealthy etc. were somehow going to deliver benefits for their citizens. They've been sold a pup, they know it, and it's embarrassing for them to admit it. That said, rather than fixing their own problems, they're now falling for a different set of lies concerning cities such as Oxford and Cambridge. Funny that.
How many more times? "Stupid should hurt" - and it is.

Hahahahahaha... A woman who allegedly married herself has instigated divorce proceedings after spending just one day in her own company.

"In the post, the cyclist wrote: “Unbelievably the Isle of Man Police thought it was appropriate to stop me three times while cycling over the mountain, the last time to tell me to put the bike in the van because of complaints by car drivers. That’s not how the Highway Code works. I didn’t get in the van.”
What a dick.

Yep, probably best to follow police advice and cut your losses in those circumstances.

So, drivers acting like entitled cunts then, and the police of course coming down on the side of the motorists and assuming that cyclists are a problem and should be off the road even when the cyclists are completely obeying the law.
