I don't think that's fair. The whiney cyclist is always going to come off worse and the police and ambulance folk will have to scrape him off a wall.
He was clearly putting himself and others in danger. I respect cyclists when I'm driving, but they do need to have a word with themselves, cracking on like they're Rosa Parks.

I mean, you might as well take all cyclists and pedestrians and dog-walkers and everyone else off the roads and pavements and trails and so on because they’d end up worse off when they interact with a dick in a Range Rover who doesn’t give a shot about anyone else.

Again, that's not fair or rational. This isn't an equal contest and the motorists were showing responsible concerns for a cyclist and Dibble were doing the right thing.
Can you imagine the whining if he'd been hurt and nobody had tried to save him from himself.

It was responsible concerns for the dog walker that the drivers who were acting the cunt told the cops that the pedestrian shouldn't have been walking his dog on the country lanes in the Downs.

Somehow cyclists using the road legally are a threat to themselves and if injured it’s their own fault for being where dangerous cars are but everyone else using the road legally is just being sensible. Even though it’s cars doing the killing.
It is possible that the cyclist was actually acting the thingy, but my experience suggests that drivers who whine about cyclists are generally entitled cunts who think cyclists shouldn’t be there at all, and police (and the law as a whole) are always the drivers’ friend above all else. So, absent some pretty compelling evidence I’d just assume these drivers are doing what whiny entitled drivers always do.

I don't disagree that motorists can be oafish and dangerous. The cyclist hS every right to be on the road but as he is is far more danger than the car drivers (who have acted very responsibly here) it is not unreasonable to Dibble to give him words of advice and offer to mitigate the risk.
It's not a rights issue, but one of practical common sense. Mountaineers who get into trouble aren't just left to their fate.
It's This bloke's adolescent attitude which is actually putting him in as much danger as the fog.

It's a bit like trying to herd buffalo and lambs together. Over here the cyclist is king - you hit one, it's your fault unless there are witnesses that the cyclist was clearly in the wrong. Some are a f**k**g nuisance though, cycling three abreast, refusing to get over, using their vulnerability as a defence.

I wonder why they're illegal. Privacy maybe?

They're legal here. I don't think we have any laws that prohibit taking pics or videos in public. I believe that in some US states, you need consent to film people, even in public.
