I am just baffled by the number of people who claim they are going to leave a country after an election result, every election, given that it almost never happens.
And almost every one of the few people who do move countries do so because they have a new job, or maybe have family, or perhaps it's just a nicer place to live. But very few of the rich whingers leave for political reasons. Thousands of Trumpy right-wingers said they were going to do it 4 years ago and didn't move. Thousands of Libtards said they were going to do it in 2016. Thousands of racist fucknuts said they were going to do it in 2008. Thousands more (or possibly the same) Libtards said they were going to do it in 2000.
Both boys have cried wolf many times.

He thought he was quite the wag when he pointed out that at least Phil Collins actually left. Very good. Or it would have been twenty years ago. Nobody knew who he was talking about. Very telling.

A Texan friend of mine has recently moved to the Europe (with a hope to eventually move to France). She hates the USA politically and culturally so just moved. No yapping on. No threats just started planning years ago and did it. Same when I lived in Oz. I met loads of Yank exiles who detested the USA and had no desire to live there. So they just moved. |
