I helped one of my neighbours put up some royal decorations yesterday. I knew they'd previously lived in Canada but I only found out they had dual citizenship yesterday. Anyway, one of the flags they wanted put up outside was the Canadian flag and the other was a British flag with a big picture of the King's face on it. How I laughed as I imagined the BBC, puce with helpless fury at the sight of the flags.

When was the photo taken? Late 70s? There are three major problems there: tie clip, cufflinks, pinky ring. The pinky ring might be some heladic device, necessary for sealing swans in envelopes or something. The watch is fine, as they didn't have mobiles back then. I haven't worn a watch in a decade. |
