Possibly, but as I said they took 50% of books out, but had no where near that many to replace them, so it was BS excuse they started using a few days after the backlash started. Their first and presumably real reason was they thought these books were on the whole too white and wanted books with more diversity.

It's the kind of perforative, being seen to do something for the "efniks" rather than doing stuff that is actually needed that drives real progressives crazy and is a gift to team idiot.

If you have to choose between books of broadly equal quality, why not have a range of books that give kids more chance of seeing people like them represented. Even if you love the writing, you wouldn't want Jewish kids to only ever see Jewish people as represented in A Merchant of Venice.

Speaking of Canada, I went on a hiking trip to the Canadian Rockies a couple months ago.

All I can say is wow, wow, wow.

It's amazing up there, Banff gets most of the tourists, but there are some spectacular lakes and mountains all up and down the Rockies

Yeah, I never even set foot in Banff. Stayed in Jasper and Canmore.

I could have spent a week just exploring places off the Icefields Parkway. Incredible.
