"Bender"
Mr Elliot had complained that Mr Smith had a conflict of interest in a bitter legal feud over the control of the “Bender” and “Brenda” dating apps he had planned to launch in 2011 with Steven Worbey and Kevin Farrell.

There is something definitely epoch-defining about the sort of openness that the Internet has created. I'm sure that smug, establishment wankers have always done this sort or grubby shite, but now they get found out.
It's got to be a good thing. "Ways and means" is dead. Good.

Way to go non-fascist Islam. "A far-Right activist who compared Islam to fascism is believed to have been stabbed in a knife attack by a man who was shot by police in Mannheim, south-west Germany. Bystanders stepped in to try to stop the knifeman but he broke free and stabbed a police officer in the back before being shot by another officer. The unidentified attacker’s first victim was reported to be Michael Stürzenberger. The 59-year-old is known for his anti-Islamic views." www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2024/05/31/germany-stabbing-knifeman-stabs-people/

I worry about the standard of our diplomats these days, I really do. www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/crggz77zp7zoAlso, do we have too many of them? Can we not give them responsibility for two or three countries in a region? Maybe jobshare with a solid Commonwealth country. Perhaps we do that already.

I have my doubts. My guess is that we're looking at an alliance with one of the more militant parties, which is not going to be good. Either Zuma is back or the Nationalise Everything party will be in coalition. If it's the DA, that would be great, but I have my doubts that the ANC would do that.

We were told that within a couple of years of the end of Apartheid, South Africa would be leader of the free world. A new age of enlightenment.

After a couple of centuries of white rule the place was a mess and it was always going to take decades put right.
