The funniest thing is that the Tories are likely to have the second most votes, but because the British League of Fascists are taking Tory votes and will finish third there’s a non-zero chance that the fourth placed Libtards will be His Majesty’s Official Opposition

"The UK's main political parties have “ducked” addressing stark choices over public finances in their manifestos and it will be a "considerable surprise" if taxes are not increased over the next five years, a leading think tank has warned. The Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) accused Labour and the Conservatives of engaging in a "conspiracy of silence" and ignoring "painful choices". It said the UK has the highest debt level for more than 60 years, taxes are near a record high and spending has swelled - but public services are "visibly struggling". While the government is paying huge interest on debts and welfare bills have grown, spending on health is likely to rise because of an ageing population while defence funding will have to increase. Meanwhile, economic growth is subdued." www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ckkkk90lw50o

Neither parties seem interested in discussing Brexit either. While I'm tempted to say that this is because of piss-poor enactment on one side and slippery treachery on the other, I suspect that it's because the research suggests that the public aren't interested in revisiting the topic.

Labour to the core .... "A man who was arrested as part of the police investigation into the Westminster honeytrap scandal is a Labour Party member, Sky News understands. The Metropolitan Police said they arrested a man in his mid 20s in Islington, north London, on Wednesday on suspicion of harassment and offences under the Online Safety Act. Multiple victims were informed by the police shortly afterwards. Earlier this year, at least 12 men in political circles received unsolicited, flirtatious WhatsApp messages from people calling themselves "Charlie" or "Abi", Scotland Yard said. Explicit images were exchanged in some instances." www.google.com/amp/s/news.sky.com/story/amp/man-arrested-over-unsolicited-messages-sent-to-mps-and-others-in-westminster-honeytrap-scandal-13158973

The left really are utter scumbags, aren't they? "It's okay when we do it" is in their DNA. "ehold the exquisite hypocrisy of the Labour MP Dawn Butler. This is a politician who has raised the alarm over the verbal abuse received by female MPs. And yet now she’s gleefully telling anyone who will listen that she agrees with the preening luvvie David Tennant who said Kemi Badenoch should ‘shut up’ and, better still, disappear off the face of the Earth entirely. So sexist barbs are fine if they’re aimed at Tory ladies, Dawn? Is it acceptable again for men to tell women to pipe down? Yes, Ms Butler, the MP for Brent Central, has weighed in with her usual tact to the Tennant-Badenoch showdown. It was at the LGBT Awards last Friday that Tennant took aim at Badenoch. As he accepted his gong for best ‘celebrity ally’ to the LGBT community, the former Dr Who said he was looking forward to a time when ‘we wake up and Kemi Badenoch doesn’t exist anymore’. In the meantime, while she annoyingly insists on still existing, ‘I just wish her to shut up’, he barked." www.spectator.co.uk/article/why-wont-dawn-butler-show-solidarity-with-kemi-badenoch/

Trousers-down spanking for Kier. What a knob. He keeps pretending that he won the war on terror, single-handed.

Wes Streeting comes across as a thicker Boy George.

It was instructive to see the papers this morning. All the Tory-leaning papers came out shouting about Sunak's victory and Starmer's humiliating collapse. To be expected perhaps. What was noticeable was that the Labour-leaning rags had nothing to say about it.
The BBC say it was a draw, and point to a poll suggesting - laughably - that Starmer had won. I wondered whether this was their way of suggesting that polls are often wrong.

If the BBC say it's a draw then it's obviously a humiliating defeat for their boy Starmer.

Politico's latest UK poll of polls (21.06.24) puts Labour on 41%, Conservatives 21%, Reform 16%.
The right are divided nicely, which those on the left or centre will no doubt seek to prolong.

The Tories are, of course, not right wing.

My bad. The date of these aggregated polls was 26/06 i.e. yesterday. Of course, I fully expect yesterday's regurgitated waffle stunning display from Sunak to reverse this position over the next seven days.

The Tories are, of course, not right wing enough for the usual suspects.
Fixed etc.

It’s interesting that Refuk seem to be in slight decline in the last week. They were up in the low 20s in some polls but have slipped back after Fargle’s Putin-Felching. I wonder if it’s deliberate on his part, whether being an MP might limit some of his ability to grift, so he self-sabotaged?

Not sure he's bright enough to be so strategic, he's a certain low cunning, but the idea tanking his own campaign cos he fears his drifting will be impacted by him getting a real job is a bit far fetched, especially given being an MEP in no way hampered his grifting
