India win the World Cup.
Good for them - they have done so much for world wide cricket.

India win the World Cup. Good for them - they have done so much for world wide cricket. TBF, they've done quite a bit for worldwide population. They got a very lucky break a couple of centuries ago and made the most of it. Kudos to them.

Barely mentioned on the BBC of course. Six articles behind some soccer tournament in the EU.

The Tour de France started today. Rimini to Florence, I think.
My chain broke today, so I had to walk the last two miles home on the Tour de Sussex.

My bike tour finished yesterday. The bike survived the whole trip. Unlike the bag I was meant to be shipping it home in, which remains in Albanian Customs Prison, so I had to find a box at a Tirana bike shop this morning.
My tour was less tough than the opening day of the Tour de Florence where the sprinters almost got eliminated. Very pleased about the stage winner.

I was just watching the match and wondering what the point of tournament football is. It certainly doesn't seem to be entertainment.
I will probably watch the matches going forward, as I quite enjoy the knock-out stages.

I don't think this team is set up to be entertaining they play safe boring keep ball, but don't appear to prioritize scoring goals
Some games have been great though, just not ones where England plays

And there you have it, the team that shoots gets goals while the team that plays it safe doesn't
