On the subject of the obsession with Clarkson, I have discovered that the place most obsessed with him of all is the Oxford Mail. I get pushed some kind of piece about Clarkson on to my social media every day by the Oxford Mail. Mostly because he opened a pub just out past Minster Lovell*, which the Mail seems to think is the absolutely most interesting thing ever to happen anywhere in the county. Or, at least, the best clickbait.

* there did used to be a great pub in Minster Lovell, but I don't know if it's still there and it must be 30 years since I went.
