If it is any consolation, the only reason I can spell phoenix is because I know I have to reverse what I think is the right letter order. I instinctively spell it wrongerly as well, and learned the hard way as a result of having a student called Phoenix in one of my classes once. Year of having a snotty 13 year old getting uppity about how her name is spelled, that'll larn you ...

At first I thought she was named after the Greek bird, and I thought that was pretty cool. Then I learned that she had a sister, called Chicago. I am not making this up.

However i wil make a possible prediction.
Once we have finished our business in the Middle East, America will once again grow cold towards Britain.
