That's quite a find.
Generally, such items are deleted from the BBC news web site and never repeated on any news broadcast.
There use to be a News program broadcast between 5:30 amd and 6am on BBC News 24. It was eventually cancelleled after its editors broadcast a 3 minute film of Israelis wandering into a Palestinain home on a remote farm, evicting the family onto the street, and demolishing the house as a security threat.
Subsequently, an Israeli house was built in its place.
What the BBC tends to broadcast is usually quite good. But it practicies censorship by exclusion.

I tend to disagree.
I worked in London in the 70's, with some black Americans and we were discussing some worthy cause or other, and i remarked that one person's view [mine] didn't seem to have much importance.
They all said no- that's not it, one person can make all the difference in the world[or words to that effect]
That has framed my outlook.
Hearing this Israeli's view is highly important in that context, in my view.

Why it should be a suprise a lot of Israelies are not bloodthirsty zellots bend on killing any arab who crosses their path is beyhond me, its just the case they have been a mionority for years as more and more extrememists have been imported to fill the ranks of the settler movement, but its glad to see it reoprted that the zellots are not all there is to Israel

Judenrat was a council of Jews. And yep, it was a Nazi term. It doesn't have anything to do with the English word "rat" though...

There are good and bad people in every single race. It depends on circumstances how much the bad people are able to create havoc. The Holocaust was a prime example of wickedness being allowed to thrive.
The Germans commiting atrocities there would probably have remained ordinary people with oridary lives if it hadn't been for Hitler and the Nazis. Likewise the Judenrats who were no doubt busy trying to save their own skins.
There were other horrific regimes like Stalin's where ordinary people ended up committing atrocities. That doesn't make the Russians bad as a race.
I have never heard of a Jewish suicide bomber, such behaviour seems to be peculiar to Muslim extremists. I imagine the Isrealiis are sick to death of Hamas. Yes their retaliation was way over the top, put people can only be pushed so far before they crack.
The Isreali army is very tough, remember the Entebbe incident when a plane was hi-jacked that belonged to Isreal? In a daring attack a group of Isrealis landed and liberated the plane in a very short time. No wonder their planes don't get hijacked any more.

Maybe thats because F16 pilots of the glorious IDF perform the brave F & F form of bravery - FIRE and FORGET - usualy from a very brave distance of 6 + miles. No danger of any bravery there because they will never have to commit suicide in killing their enemy - thanks to American funded and supplied weapon platforms. |

There is a world of difference between pilots engaged in war to individuals who walk into crowded places and blow themselves up. In my opinion it is the Muslims who use nasty extreme means to attack civilians. Remember 9/11?

This thread is messed up. A person's political views do not need to correspond with his religion, and Jews are as entitled to disagree with one another as anyone else.
