The BBC should get rid of this insensitive oaf now. I don't find him in the least funny and never have. The amount of money the Beeb is paying him is disgraceful. Brand is even more an example of a talentless liability. www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article2172027.ece

They are both a disgrace to civilised society, neither should be allowed access to a public forum.

It has also emerged that Ross’s TV comeback had to be heavily edited to avoid complaints.
Execs cut a string of remarks in which he swore and joked about Sachsgate. Extract from quoted source.
If true, then a liability and it would appear insincere in his apology.
A fool who should not be broadcasting. His idea of entertainment is fairly one dimensional ie sarcastic commentary at others expense laced with poor language - really not funny.

I see him as totally unrepentant. To be truthful, he deserves a smack in the mouth. Like the coward he is, he carefully selects the age group he insults.

If they can burn a nice young lass like Joan at the stake then surely torching Ross is a no brainer?

I've never found Jonathon Ross to be even vaguely funny nor talented. Friday night I broke with tradition and watched his show, only because Tom Cruise was on and I wanted to hear him talk about Valkyrie, which I'd been to see that very afternoon. I was hoping that Ross might have toned down his inane, peurile act and tried to be a serious interviewer for once. Parkinson he ain't (nor ever will be) but I thought he might make an effort. What do I get? I'm no prude but there is nothing remotely amusing about a 49 year old man acting like a 12 year old trying to make a guest squirm with his 'farting under the duvet' routine. By all accounts the actual show had to be cut to ribbons in order to be aired anyway. After his subsequent radio gaffe not 24 hours later the Beeb now have to stand by their man through thick and thin when he ought to have been out of a job 3 months ago. £6 million a year for that? The board of governors ought to be shot at dawn for wasting our money.
Rant over!

Can we have a bit of cut and paste with the link, The Sun website causes my browser to crash.
Ross is utterly predictable and has a speech defect. God knows what sort of political correctness gone mad got him on the air in the first place, but it wouldn't happen in any other country.

I used to think he was quite funny. He was good at the light entertainment celeb interview type of stuff but he seems to have become stuck in a predictable rut now. I've also noticed some sensible shoe wearing types don't like his attitude towards his female guests.

There was something I read recently that inferred Ross have a lot of relatives who work in the Beeb, and that's why they cossett him and won't sack him. How true that was I don't know, I think it was on a website I was browsing, but can't remember where. It figures though!

would not watch it on purpose.
i think that we should be kinder to handicapped people, even those with speech impediments.

Sorry, Vox. I could cut the links to the paper tiltle only but you would have to search for the article. Some of the Mail links are about a 'mile' long. You know that I would never cause you distress, intentionally

Russell Brand has begun a stand-up tour, much of which is on the furore over his lewd phone calls to Andrew Sachs. Meanwhile, fellow prank-caller Jonathan Ross returns to the BBC on Friday after his three-month suspension.
Brand hasn't learnt a thing either but profits from it still....

Ross and Brand are untalented cnuts who I'd be happy to never hear again, but seriously, are we really going to get upset and pious about everything? Will the idiot mob be on the case of any broadcaster who does or says anything vaguely rude, outrageous, controversial, interesting - because it might offend someone?
Christ.
Get a grip, pathetic country.
