(1 recommendation so far) Message 6497 of 12489 in Discussion From: short and sweet Sent: 11/9/2001 2:12 PMJust think. Monday morning I can get up at 10 or maybe even 11 o'clock in the morning if I want to because I haven't got a boss breathing down my neck. Heaven. What's even better is that my man goes out and does all the toil and guess who gets the money? Little ol' me. ________________________________ (1 recommendation so far) Message 6498 of 12489 in Discussion From: vixter Sent: 11/9/2001 2:14 PM<finally loses her cool> S & M - Errrrm how sad are you? For me I'd happily hold a decent conversation with her, as long as it was just that, and not an insult throwing shouting match.

I'll be the judge of you my sweet ! Yes, I imagine, being married has its upside doesnt it ... I'm generally quite happy being single, but then I've got loads of friends so never feel really lonely or anything .. Think first dates make you feel silly though ... <pondering> _____________________________ Message 6586 of 12489 in Discussion From: Jaygo_2 Sent: 11/9/2001 4:32 PMOoM - thats lovely. Just shows that some men can commit doesnt it ! I waited till I was thirty <AHEMWHOFEWASAAAAAAAA> to get wed because I didn't like any of the other fellers before that enough to grow old with them. My man did buy me champagne when we were dating - half a bottle which to me was far far more romantic than a whole one. We got lashed on 5 gallons of Liebfraumilch after that ! _____________________________

The very best thing about being married .....
In my last job I had git for a boss - I went home one night so upset that I couldn't say what had upset me. My fella gave me a HUGE cuddle and said "whatever it is, you were right and they were wrong" - he didn't have any idea what or who had upset me - he was on my side regardless. He's the absolute best

You are both far too young, far too funny and far far too gorgeous to ever worry about getting stuck on the shelf. Please believe me when I say you will never gather dust there - you're both far to happening for that.

Meanwhile, back in the Tardis Lassie and Hobo were polishing off a bowl of lion giblets while the Doctor indulged his porn habit by watching a Roman orgy live. Suddenly his mobile ‘phone rang. The Doctor spoke in one of the many strange dialects at his linguistic command. "Yair, Gooday Bruce. Owyergoinmateorright? Strike me flamin’ pink ! Are you fair dinkum mate? Stone the crows and starve the lizards, I’ll be right down ! See yer soon, ‘ooroo !" The Doctor cranked up the Tardis and soon they were travelling through time and space once more. "Just got an emergency call from Australia," the Doctor explained breathlessly, "One of my mortal enemies, a dalek, has just been re-elected as Prime Minister !" " A dalek," Lassie exclaimed, "Didn’t anyone notice?" "He’s been so cunningly disguised he even fooled me," gritted the Doctor grimly, "he’s got false arms and legs screwed in and the hole between his eyes where his disintegrator ray goes is covered with pancake make up. My Time Lord colleague Aussie Bruce sussed him out at last though, his weird voice gave him away in the end !" "Of course," the Doctor went on worriedly, "I really should have woken up ages ago, even blind Freddy could see that the dalek’s Treasurer, that dim-witted moron Costello, is obviously a badly disguised cyborg !" "Ever known daleks to try this sort of thing before, Doc?" Hobo asked. "Oh yes," answered the Doctor, they’re always at it ! Look at that William Hague for instance, he made it as far as British Opposition Leader before we stopped him, yet his disguise was nowhere near as good as Howard’s, in fact, he stuck out like dogs’ balls ! Sorry, excuse me Hobo." The Tardis came to a halt. "I’ll let you two out here if you don’t mind," said the Doctor, then it’s off to sunny Australia for me." The door opened. Gingerly Hobo and Lassie peered out. They were parked beside the Oundle School fields and nearby a game of rugby was in progress. A pack of thin, undernourished boys, their rugby jerseys wet and caked with mud and their stark white, stick-like legs covered in bruises were reluctantly pursuing a sodden ball while trying to avoid being crashed to the snow-covered, frozen ground. A group of cheery masters stood watching, regularly giving vent to fierce cries of encouragement. The masters were all well rugged up against the bitter cold and were taking it in turns to take warming sips from a silver hip flask. The hedgerows and trees all stood black and leafless against the pale, wintry sky and the grating, mournful complaints of rooks filled the air. As one Lassie and Hobo stepped back into the Tardis and closed the door. "Let’s go Doc," laughed Hobo, "I think you could probably do with our help in Australia !" _________________________________ Message 6643 of 12489 in Discussion From: Baby D*™ Sent: 11/12/2001 9:05 AMHa Ha Banjo, your story always makes me laugh .. !!! Does that mean you like the pictures or not? _______________________________ Message 6772 of 12489 in Discussion From: Gooner! Sent: 11/12/2001 3:23 PMHas anyone shown u lot anything on word recently? You'll know what i mean if they have. If not, type in Q33NY on Word, then change the font size to largest, then the font to wingdings. If you've got loads of wingdings, then try them all until u notice something. (Q33NY represents: Q= as in a 'queue' 33=33rd plane (to leave ...) NY= New York) _______________________________ Message 6773 of 12489 in Discussion From: Mitch The Teddy Sent: 11/12/2001 3:25 PMPos Looks like I arrived in the nick of time. Please keep us posted. _______________________________ Message 6776 of 12489 in Discussion From: Poseidon Sent: 11/12/2001 3:26 PMGOONER !!! How can you fall for that? When the "Q33NY" thing came around the first time people made things fit to it but theo original story was that it was one of the planes flight number (which of course was wrong !). Its a load of crap. Get ready Gooner, cos here is a big handle for the side of your head because as you may have guessed ...... you are now a MUG ! _______________________________ Message 6777 of 12489 in Discussion From: Gooner! Sent: 11/12/2001 3:29 PMI've known it for time too, but never saw it on here. And for the record, it was the 33rd plane, i never heard about it being the flight number though. Well i reckon the version i was told is a lot more believable. and u can both stop the verbal abuse, cos i would never have fell for ur 2 versions, which, obviously, many people did.

Don't know what you are laughing at Gooner
At least we sent our pics rather than some lame "oh the scanner doesn't work" excuse.
Mind you, I'd rather I hadn't now. Oh bugger.
<whispers> what did you make of the game on Saturday?

You talking about the Rugby or the football?
Personally i'm well chuffed with the League match against the Aussies. Not enough publicity tho i think. The other two matches were a mix of luck and lack of tries. Good all round promotion for english sport tho.

There may have been a lack of tries but we still outclassed themand even they admit it !!!
I heard that the Aussies were blaming the league match on jetlagged players !!! As of yet they have no excuses for the Union match !!!
As for the football .... I like to see England play but that was nothing special at all ....... pah !

as a Northern chap of course I saw the league game which was tremendous.
A stout performance and that dirty Aussie should have been sent well from the pitch after that stamping.
Mind you, I'd be chuffed if we beat the Aussies at ironing - especially after the cricket etc _______________________________
