Have you ever seen a cowboy film? Is that a serious question? Obviously not.

In fact, have you ever wondered why cowboys rode horses and didn't just jog along beside their charges?

Although on reflection bulls are pretty fast. There you go. I should have considered those instead of just the cows I have seen grazing lazily in the countryside.

Have you ever seen a cowboy film? Is that a serious question? Obviously not. It's semi-serious. In most cowboy films (the ones with actual cows in them), you see cows galloping about and sometimes doing a stampede. In them, the cowboys have to sit on galloping horses to keep up.

If it had running cows I don’t recall.

I haven't seen Brokeback Mountain because it's gay. Haven't you seen Cowboys and Aliens? Although I can't remember if there are any cows in it.

Quite a lot don't have cows, mind. Westerns.

My brother was mountain biking in Germany. Came off, took himself to Hospital because he'd hurt his back. They told him it was broken, so he sent me an email titled "broke back mountain biking"

Good Westerns are awesome - a universal truth.
"3:10 to Yuma", "High Noon", "Little Big Man", "Rio Bravo", "The Wild Bunch", "Unforgiven" etc. etc. ...
I mean, come ON people!

Oh I have seen 3:10 to Yuma. That was ok. No cows though if I recall.

The Searchers. Magnificent. Westerns aren't my favourite genre by any means but there are some absolute stonkers and it would be silly to miss out on them just because you don't like "cowboy films".

I think there are some cows right at the start of 3.10 to Yuma. Great film.

And Lonesome Dove, the TV programme. Utterly utterly.

People avoid movie genres all the time. Be it horror, “world movies”, chick flicks, superhero movies. Dunno why cowboy movies should be exempt from that.

True, I avoid racist films like 12 Years a Slave or Da 5 Bloods.
