On Sunday, police in Western Australia called off their search for the body of Andrew Sharpe after pieces of the 52-year-old father’s wetsuit and surfboard had washed up on the beach near Esperance. Friends saw a shark bite him two days earlier.
I used to live in Esperance.

It's those people who swim near sharks and decide it's a good idea to poke them. I don't think they're veryy often fatal because people tend to only poke quite small ones.

While surfing is not considered provoking a shark, the death of a 36-year-old while spearfishing off Queensland’s Fraser Island in July is considered to be the result of a provoked bite, as the release of fish blood attracts sharks.
So the left are wrong again

There's a few incidents like this round where I live most years, had one in our back yard some years ago, though mostly you never know they are there. There's a place called Cougar mountain near us, but though I've hikes there loads of times I've never seen one, but apparently there are quite a few in that area.

When my son went off to Uni last September he got a room in a house near campus and the landlady was this single woman in her 40's quite tasty tbh, her own kids having left home recently, I'm not sure she realized why I was trying so hard not to laugh when we dropped the lad off, but she had a sports shirt on from her sons varsity team called the Cougars.

A man has been killed by a shark off a popular beach in Western Australia. The attack happened near Cable Beach in the north of the state. The man was pulled from the water but was later pronounced dead. "Police can confirm that tragically the man has died," Western Australia police said in a statement. The beach has been closed and the public is being urged to avoid local waters. It is the eighth fatal shark attack in Australian waters this year.
