Shocking stuff from Trump today, basically inviting Turkey to invade northern Syria to get rid of the Kurds. This is great for Assad, Putin and Erdogan, who really aren't the kinds of people the US should be helping. It totally and utterly fucks over the US's only allies in the region - the Kurds - who've fought with the US and against Islamist and Baathist oppression for decades. Who the US promised to protect provided they disarmed. It looks like a really, really grim and rotten betrayal. If anybody did trust the US as an ally in the past, this'll change that.

See International Genocide Day: it used to be just that. Not now, it's largely an annual jamboree of Holocaust PR and lobbying on behalf of special interests. That's manifestly obvious. |

We had rucks with Doc Cruel about this for months on the old News General. The Armenian massacre was horrendous, a systematic cold-blooded genocide carried out by both Turks and Kurds. The word was invented as a result of this. Unbelievably horrible what people do to each other.
