Interesting to see that the BBC have settled on the colonial, anglocentric and patronising T-word, rather than respecting the declared wishes of the people of Turkeye.

"There was a form of massive rigging of the elections," said Christophe Deloire, secretary general of the NGO Reporters Without Borders (RSF) on Monday, May 29, the day after President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's re-election for five years. "Erdogan has made Turkey a laboratory of repression of freedom of the press", [said] Christophe Deloire who noted that the Turkish president "was entitled in April to passages on the antenna 60 times longer than the candidate of opposition on a public channel". Erdogan's supporters must "realize to what extent there are forms of trickery", added the secretary general of RSF.
