Steel frame by the look of it. Funny, that.

The likelihood is that the interior steels would have failed quicker.

Inside job in as much as it would be hotter. Science is a bit of a mystery to you, isn't it?

Are you suggesting that there were no fires?

"The London Fire Brigade (LFB) has been condemned for "serious shortcomings" and systemic failures in its response to the Grenfell Tower fire, in a report into the 2017 blaze. Fewer people would have died in the fire if the LFB had taken certain actions earlier, the report by inquiry chairman Sir Martin Moore-Bick said. He also said some evidence given by the LFB at the inquiry was "insensitive"." www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-50216606Amusing to see that the head of the LFB has been persuaded to stay on for an extra couple of years so that the flack won't hit the new girl. I still reckon that, even though the FB didn't get everything right on the night, the real blame still lies with the cunts that knowingly allowed a substitution in the cladding material. There were also failings in the LA's building control and in the way that fire risk assessmentments were carried out. The root cause here is legislative, I reckon: the privatisation of safety compliance. Who pays the piper .....

They need a scapegoat. Fire brigade'll be the easiest target.

They need a scapegoat. Fire brigade'll be the easiest target. Deepest pockets, more like. The contractor probably carried PI or CAR to a max of 10M, which sounds a lot but, once you've split it between the victims, the "victims" and their legal team, it would probably be about a fiver each. Far better to get LFB and, by extension, the GLC in the frame for a real bonanza.

Of course, we haven't seen the full report, but that's very much the direction of travel.
