Anyway, on a separate note what is wrong with gender neutral parenting? It suggests not parenting boys and girls differently.
Why is that bad? I was raised in a gender neutral house (i.e my mom didn’t apply different rules to me and my brothers on account of what was between our legs) and I cannot think of one detrimental result.
So why do people get so worked up at parents choosing not to apply rigid gender roles to their kids?

I do agree that what these parents are doing should not be referred to as “gender neutral”. It’s not neutral. It’s trying to impose a different gender identity on their kids which just appears batty. Actual gender neutral parenting though is fine.

Apart from that, parents were generally protective of females because it was the females who had to carry the can when sex reared its ugly head and they got knocked-up or infected with the cervical cancer virus. Quite simple and straightforward really, as thousands of years have shown.

I don't know why Rick, Mids and Baloo are against girls using science kits and playing with technical lego and meccano and so on. Were they traumatised as weakling boys when a girl shoved them out of the way and started playing with the toys that they wanted to play with?
