No, that's right, the fascists doing the book banning are Christian fascists so their ultimate goal is you can only read one book, as long as it's theirs.

They deliberately made super vague laws and gave no advice. So therefore nobody could blame them for particular books being banned or not banned. But simultaneously made it so every school and school librarian is terrified of the consequences of not removing something so in the end they remove almost everything. It's deliberate use of bad policy to avoid blame.
