How the f**k can you claim she was a troubled kid, all there is is a picture and pks facile arguments, yet you chumps are leaping to the view she was raped and murdered cos she pouted on a Facebook picture, ffs no one asked to be raped and murdered and dressing bit sexy is not an invitation to be raped nd murdered. The stupid, it burns.

Haha! Pious pricks. "What does it tell us of the sexualisation, impressionabilty, gormlessness and vulnerabilty of these girls?" Interesting that your first instinct is to seek a way to shift focus off a man’s actions onto her photos.

I think it suggests, to the kind of criminal who rapes and kills young woman, a degree of vulnerabilty, naivety and suggestability which would be easy to exploit. Impressive victim blaming right there. It’s too hard to expect men to not act like savage animals so let’s just blame women for men’s behaviour.

Just as mids said: girls being girls. Today it's duckfaces who knows what it will be tomorrow.
There must be millions of girls with a duckface photo somewhere who haven't been raped and murdered.

Complex stuff. Not sure if there's a simple answer to this, maybe a cocktail of all the above points, all of which are pertinent. Okay, to get to the heart of it, what turns a horny male into a rapist and killer? Well, in the old days it was part and parcel of warfare, not usually a social thing because they'd be hunted down and killed by the family. Jungle tribes don't do it, save in warfare, perhaps because nudity's no big thing. So we get to today and what do we have? - I'd suggest a surfeit of sexual fodder on the internet, where the violation of women is commonplace, and beyond that, the whole of the media which constantly promotes females as a target for sexual release (I'm not going feminist here). Then we have drugs which some are incapable of assimilating without bending their heads. And with the increasingly frequent promotion of young girls as sex objects there are bound to be males who simply can't control their lust. As I say, complex. What do we do? Personally I'd take the law into my own hands, because the law no longer serves the injured party.

Expressly so. Why do you insist on reading black as white? It makes you look quite mental.

True, but there appears to be a very high proportion of raped/murdered young women whose stories feature just such photos.

True enough, I’m reluctant to call the attention seekers, but basically it’s what they are. Their lives are so empty, they feel the need to be noticed, and often attract the wrong sort of attention.

Also “duckface” is hardly a term I would associate with that photo.

And how do you know their murderers : rapists have access to the photos and they were a causative factor? This just seems to be a standard case of “man attacks woman...quick how we blame the woman for it?”

It’s simply because they’re savages and they live in a society where male sexual entitlement is defended instead of criticised. In the time of Tinder, Blendr and, of course the timeless solution of visiting a sex worker, blaming “horniness” isn’t really going to cut it.
