Yeah, the chuckle brothers obsess over every sex crime vomited by non white men, but seek to either dismiss or play down sex crimes against women and children when it's one of their own.
Cos, let's face it, the last thing they care about are the child victims, all they care about is their own racism.

Beatings and sex-pestery are only acceptable to the right if a) one side pays for what the other side administers (it is a market after all  ), and/or b) they do it themselves e.g. Neil Parish, Chris Pincher, Rob Roberts et al. Let's not forget also that it was Tory MP and apologist Michael Fabricant who said that drunk MPs should not be accused of rape or sexual assault - seriously. How f*ck*ng base can you get? |

Good for him taking responsibility for his organisation. So few do.
I doubt it'll fix things. Institutions where people are put in positions of authority over young kids are prone to this sort of thing. Institutions which demand loyalty and faith are, almost by definition, not once open to questioning and oversight. Institutions which are dependent on divining truth from 2000 year old texts are, by definition, pretty conservative and hard to reform.
The church is just a natural place for abuse. The CofE is not as bad as the Catholic church which is built more on deference and where the priests don't get laid at all which adds to the incentives and removes some of the risks. But I'd be very disinclined to hand over any child of mine to any religious institution even if it weren't for the fact that religion is dogshit.
