It's a bollocks link. Like referring someone to the Bible. Be more specific with your link - point out where it says anyone can fly from an international airport without a pilot's licence.

It's the CAA flight plan form. How much more specific do you need?

Bloody hell, are you still going on about this?
Show me where in the CAA flight plan form it asks for any ratings or qualifications.

You show me honey. That's the way it works here - you make a statement and back it up. I don't have to disprove your nonsense.

I have shown you. They don't ask "are you an elephant?" either.

You have not. As usual you're twisting and squirming.
You said at the outset there was no airfield control system to check the credentials of pilots, that in effect anyone could go to an international airport (Cardiff in this case) jump in a plane and fly off. You even told a little story of how you and your dad once did it - and another tale of when you and your gang took off from somewhere to cross the Channel without any clearance whatsoever; I'm simply asking for a link from you which substantiates that anyone can indeed do that.

All made up.
Now read the form.

You said formalities were a load of bollocks. Suddenly we need a 'form'. I also say you need a pilot's licence. You've said we don't. Provide the link that says a licence isn't needed.

Thought as much. No substance to your claims. Good, that's that over with.

Aye. In this case it's not so much that you need a licence, more that it is exceedingly unlikely that anyone will check. If you own an aircraft or can borrow one (and most are used on that basis) it's pretty much governed by trust and insurance. Of course, it's not lawful to fly without a licence - actually, that's not quite true because student pilots do just that - but if you can get your hands on the aircraft, nobody's likely to challenge you. If you're mad enough to take up an unfamiliar aircraft in conditions you're not qualified to fly in, then more fool you. That being said, instruments flying (IFR) and night flying are much the same thing but lots of IFR qualified pilots are squeamish about night flying.

OK, I see where you're coming from: there are rules and regulations etc but they're often ignored. Fair enough.

There will be a bloodbath as old scores are settled. Don't know what the answer is tbh.

The Great Game continues

The Great Game in Central Asia remains as pointless as it ever was, still all about denying other people access. Nobody actually wants to be there - they're just scared that other countries do.
I'm not sure how much extra bloodbath there'll be. The US troop count has already dropped dramatically and they're not in very many areas now. Whatever bloodbath there'll be is already basically happening.
