Yeah there's more than a little "posh people are to be admired and working class types are crass" about it, but it's still a good watch so far.

You get a similar effect if you watch Question Time while eating your dinner.

Glass - Bruce Willis with psychic abilities to sense criminals, also stars Samuel L. Jackson. An absolutely ridiculous movie.
Watched the first two episodes of Three Body Problem then quit. It looked alright, but it only covers part of the trilogy and apparently they aren't going to finish it so no point. I read the books, it was pretty good although the first book was unbelievably awful.

Palm Royale. Very enjoyable despite having Kristin Wiig in it who normally annoys the sh*t out of me. The fact that the rest of the cast includes Allison Janney and Laura Dern certainly helps. Lots of 60s kitsch and very low stakes drama makes it fun to watch.
Been trying to watch FUBAR on Netflix, Arnie Schwarz as a CIA op dad who discovers his daughter is also CIA. It's very, very basic.

Palm Royale sounds like a luxury wank, maybe involving a rabbitskin glove.

Nebraska, surly old geezer (Bruce Dern) insists on going to a sweepstakes office to collect the $1 million he believes he's won. Good.

I loved that film. But then, I'm a sucker for Alexander Payne's stuff.

I'm watching Palm Royale on Apple+ at the moment and, hilariously, Bruce Dern is in a bunch of scenes as Laura Dern's dad.

The Baker, run of the mill vengeance action film, only watched it cos I like Ron Perlman, very predictable mid budget stuff.

In the Flesh.
UK zombie drama about the aftermath of a zombie uprising in the UK.
The zombies have been treated and are being reintegrated into society.
So far so good.

I loved that film. But then, I'm a sucker for Alexander Payne's stuff. Yeah, it was well done. The wife was hilarious.

American Fiction.
Enjoyable if not amazing. Now I am wondering what the joke was Fandy was referring to.

It was the white judges for the literary prize saying "We should listen to black voices" while ignoring the two black people in the room.

It was the white judges for the literary prize saying "We should listen to black voices" while ignoring the two black people in the room. I was wondering if it was that one. I genuinely cackled at that.
