The Revenant - great looking movie, unfortunately the plot is pretty mediocre and too many "that would never happen" moments.
Blood Simple, haven't watched it since around when it released. Holds up well, good movie.

Palm Royale just finished. I very much enjoyed it but can see how it might not be for some people.
Hacks has just restarted, and I am definitely a fan even if the first two episodes of the new season are not as funny as some of the earlier stuff.
And we watched the first episode of something called "Upload" about people who get to upload their brains to computers after they die for immortality. It seemed like an interesting premise for the first 20 minutes but already seems to be struggling. Somehow they've made three seasons of it. I'm not sure we really need too many more shows about AI and brains being separated from bodies so we don't know what's real and what's not - oooooh! clever! - and yet there seems to be a new one every day.

Obituary. Light-hearted murder thing on Netflix. Quite fun. Irish.

Went to see The Fall Guy last night at the cinema. Very entertaining. About as good as "action comedy" gets. Obviously a bit bloated with stunts and chases, but fun and funny enough and Gosling in particular has enough dumb charm for the role. You will probably leave with a smile on your face but your brain will be untroubled by having to do much work.

Poor Things - crazed goodness. One of those films I'd watch again in a few months, and not just to see Emma Stone in all her glory.
Yojimba, the inspiration for many a 60's western. Very good.

Molly's Game - true story of a woman who ran card rooms and the FBI came after her. Good story, good dialogue, good movie.
Dream Scenario - Nicholas Cage is a man who keeps showing up in strangers' dreams. Lots of social commentary, still not sure if I liked this one or not.

I like Molly’s Game. The missus loves it. It’s like a comfort watch for her. I think she probably watches it two or three times a year.

Yeah, it was quite good. I'd never heard of it until I saw it browsing for something to watch. Fast moving and some real lol moments.

Saw X.
The internet said this was Saw returning to its roots and that it was on par with Saw I and Saw II for quality.
The internet lied to me.
