What do you think city officials should have done with those with nowhere to live?

in todays lala land called "academia" where someone can magically change gender or race merely by thinking it, why not? Archaeology’s woke trend: Obtain consent from someone who’s dead to study their bones "There’s an eerie new theory filling academia’s ivied walls – the living and the dead are the same. This latest argument against the use of human skeletal remains in research and teaching, which I’ve come across in person (from students who attended my talk at Brown University, an elite Ivy League college), proposes that the only ethical treatment of skeletal collections is to treat the dead like the living. I’ve seen this same argument, which is applied to prehistoric and historic anthropological collections used to reconstruct past peoples’ lives, in conference programs and on museum websites." "Those researchers interested in examining past populations through the study of human remains, thus, should be required to follow the same ethical guidelines as medical researchers who conduct their work on living people. We need to gather consent forms. The Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History took down their Written in Bone website that explored ways anthropologists looked at 17th-century residents of the Chesapeake Bay Area, which included colonists, African slaves, and European immigrants. This was because it had come to their attention that they had no consent forms from these people who died 300-years ago!" "Could there be other tactics to get around these ethical issues? Maybe universities should start employing spirit mediums to run seances to ensure that we can connect with the dead, ask them questions, and get that much-needed consent form signed; can a ghost sign a paper?" www.thecollegefix.com/archaeologys-woke-trend-obtain-consent-from-someone-whos-dead-to-study-their-bones/RIP, science.

More wanton misrepresentation of reality from the fix. You lot are so gullible to swallow this twisting of reality

The reality is many groups and communities don't want their ancestors remains dug up and displayed in museums. They see it as a desecration of grave sites.

Yes but we are men of science. We disdain such superstitious and religious beliefs.

they have to get consent from the dead person, not their descendants.

Only the terminally dim would believe that steaming pile coming from the fix, as you've demonstrated.

so if they find a 500 year old random human bone anywhere (not a grave/gravesite), they have to get the consent of the person it belonged to before they can study it. RIP science.

they have to get consent from the dead person, not their descendants. What’s wrong with not disturbing dead bodies or assuming you can do whatever you like with them?

Is there anything you don't employ bad faith arguments on. You are simply not rational.

The "bodies" from Pompeii and Herculaneum are usually casts, made from the cavities within the ask and pyroclastic scree. Yep, I am wearing a tweed jacket.

First They Came for the Statues; Now They Are Coming for the Bird Names "This is how far social justice has dipped into the nearly dry well of oppression." "That’s because the American Ornithological Society has vowed to change the English names of all bird species currently named after people, along with any other bird names deemed offensive or exclusionary." hotair.com/david-strom/2023/11/02/first-they-came-for-the-statues-now-they-are-coming-for-the-bird-names-n589388note they are only changing english names. and, of course, the wokerati will be the arbiter of whether the name of a bird is "offensive or exclusionary." "https://hotair.com/david-strom/2023/11/02/first-they-came-for-the-statues-now-they-are-coming-for-the-bird-names-n589388 since they are now removing statues of racist horses and rocks and changing the names of racist astronomical objects, i guess we shouldn't be surprised.
