The benefits of living by yourself. Nobody to pee in your shower / bathtub (especially where there is a perfectly good toilet right next to it.) You've got a toilet next to the fireplace? Is it a poe?

I never have baths anyway. And stop calling it a "bathtub". It's a bath. Bathtub.

That's what the first house I lived in (till 4 I think) had. No bathroom, just a toilet so bathing was done in a tin bath (not tub) beside the fire.

Bloody hell you would be hard pressed finding a house in the U.K. now with no built in bath tub. Maybe the new fancy apartments may just have shower rooms but that’s it.

I'm forever saying that we don't need a bath but then, they're quite nice when you're full of cold.

Was lucky to land an apartment with a full bathroom including bathtub. They’re great after hiking and running and ballet. Magnesium salts and a soak = no more sore muscles.

First house I lived in had a 'copper', not plod but an upright tub on legs in the corner of the scullery for doing the weekly washing. Us kids would be scrubbed in it after the washing was done.

Scrubbed with half a firebrick?
Bloody luxury!

We were spoilt. But getting out of the copper was dangerous as you were very slippery and easily dropped.

We've spoken about this before, I think. I collapsed a few years back in Crouch End, was rushed to hospital in an ambulance where they decided I was alright but Mrs Ootlg had sustained a crushed tibia when I fell on her: I went home and she was kept in. But later they found a 'shadow' or summat, calling it 'calcification' and nothing to worry about. So my brain's turning to chalk it seems.
