Yeah. It's odd. Very complex thing the brain. It's amazing that we don't win out more often.

The collapse was weird. I'd had the flu for a couple of weeks, bedridden, then took a concoction of brewed Chinese herbs (voice ) because I was blocked up and couldn't breathe too well, felt better the next day and decided to go to the coffee house next to Budgens, and just dropped like a sack of sh!t on the way back.

They had a honey sommelier on the radio this morning. I just stopped myself throwing a pan at it. That Saturday morning slot on R4 with the Rev. Richard Coles makes me want to kick walls. It is distilled essence of smug cuntishness. I see that The Rev. Richard Coles has been f**k*d off by the BBC. Good. That whole show is a tedious Ham & High Guardianista love-in. Thank goodness for Absolute Radio on Saturday mornings. www.dailyrecord.co.uk/entertainment/bbc-radio-host-forced-quit-29530558.amp

Absolute Radio is now dogshit, as they cancelled Frank Skinner.
Also, I am going BBQ electric. That feels significant.

I own a couple, but I cannot afford to run the gas one. Calor have utterly tucked up the market and I will not pay £60 for a "Patio Gas" refill. The cunning fuckers have allowed propane users to swap their tanks for the proprietary ones and then doubled the price. I used to use whatever was available and just change the regulator.
I'm sure I'll find an old propane or butane tank and get that refilled but, for now, I've gone electric. If it works out, I'll buy an good quality one, once I'm feeling wealthier.

There should be enough heat, at least for the maillard reaction. TbH, we don't tend to do much charring these days and most things have some sort of spice or herb rub.

I've just been for a run. That's quite middle class, unless you're Alf Tupper. I came back along the river where there were lots of frolicking students. Some in bikinis. Some of those were even female. Aaaah, summer and thank God for sunglasses.

I'm sure the girls were glad for the sunglasses. Makes it easier to ignore the old perv.
