yeah, not the best defensive play, the USA or France will not be so crap at making use of that as Norway were.

Though apparently it better for England for the US to beat France cos only the top three European sides get to go to the Olympic and if France gets through England have to finish third in order to go, but if its the US they go either way, cos they would be the only no European side left.

What is it with female players that they have to have a wild shot at the goal, whereas passing it to a player with a better chance of scoring would be the sensible approach?

Not at top level. Players get crucified after the game (not literally you understand) when they fail to offer the ball to a better-placed team member and miss a wild shot.

Probably not so much from the top 3 or 4 teams, but you certainly see this in the mid to lower half of the Premiership

Also, did you watch Japan. Even England for half their games seem to be trying to pass the ball into the net rather than take shots. All in all seems like an odd complaint.

Not sure they are Trumps anything, they all appear to have utter contempt for him, some saying they simply would never go to the WH if invited cos they recognize what an utter cnut he is.
Their winning has ensured England get to go the Olympics though.

Great game. If that penalty five minutes from the end had been allowed... But oddly, this time, no video evidence was allowed. As someone said, it was imperative that the US won, if only for the $ involved. If the US had lost, US interest would have returned to zero.

To be fair, the US should have been 3-0 up but there was an offside flag on a perfectly good goal that was also never reviewed.
