It's fantastic news. It'll be interesting to see some analysis on why the non-insane judge won.
It could be that turnout was just up for Democrats anyway because they had a more interesting primary than the Republican one.
It could be that voters were livid at the voter suppression.
Or, and this would be the most fascinating one, it could be that the voter suppression actively backfired. It's possible that they thought they were suppressing Democrat voters, but Democrat voters tend to be younger and perhaps therefore less fearful. The kind of scared, paranoid, aging right-wing loons who want reactionary judges might have been too scared (and too old) to come out of their houses to vote. They might have voted if they'd actually had a postal vote, and failed to here because they didn't want to get sick.

Ha, that's a larf (wrong link though).
I saw videos on Twitter of people reportedly standing out in the rain for up to 4 hours to vote. Yeah, sounds to me like they were pissed. Maybe a few of them changed their vote while standing there getting drenched.

That's the problem if your election strategy is to just cheat, eventually enough get just annoyed enough to push back.

I think the funniest thing is that there's no evidence that - even in normal, non-Covid, elections - more Democrats vote by mail than Republicans. Republicans are rural and old, so they would be the ones you'd expect to vote by mail.
Republicans have been opposed to it just because Democrats have pushed for it. Democrats and left wing organisations generally are in favour of widening the franchise, but Republicans - because they're cynical - think that Democrats are just being cynical.
It turns out that perhaps more widely having postal voting could actually favour Republicans, but Republicans are trying to get rid of it.

Though I do wonder how many reps flipped, the state legislature not only pushed this through, they also closed something like 80% of polling places in Denacrat majority areas, cos repressing the vote just wasn't enough, they had to make it as hard as possible for those dertermi ed to vote. They even closed the poll stations before the long line of voters got the chance to vote. And still they lost.

Biden accuser Tara Reade vows never to vote 'in a national election again... I will not vote for Joe Biden' A former aide to former Vice President Joe Biden, who is accusing the Democrats' presumptive presidential nominee of sexually assaulting her during the early 1990s when he was a senator, tells Fox News that not only will she not vote for Biden this November, but she will never vote in the general election again. www.foxnews.com/politics/biden-accuser-tara-reade-never-vote-national-election-againhow come you are not hearing more about this, remember Kavanaugh,

I'm glad you're now opposed to this kind of behaviour and will vote to remove Trump and impeach Kavanaugh (and Clarence Thomas).

How can people possibly eat ice cream at a time like this? She should only be eating sawdust and raw ants like the rest of us.

She certainly shouldn't be spending money at a time when the President is desperate to have people spending money to get the economy started. It is, frankly, horrific and I'm glad that the Republican Party's shills at Red State are urgently trying to shut down spending on ice cream.

It took Obama till now to support Uncle Joe, could it be that Michelle is to be VP choice for King Obama's support, after he needs a Woman, and a Black one would be all the better, and he needs all the help he can get,,

had you the ability to read jim you'd have read months ago that Obama said he would not muddy the waters of the primary by stating his endorsement until the competition was over, he'd have endorsed who ever the Dem voters chose.

The easier thing would be for the Republicans to make sure that hospitals and states get funded, and that the election is funded to make sure that voters are protected from C19.
Why don't they want to do that?

Who listens to what politicians say?? what they do is far more important, Michelle Obama in talks with Biden team on endorsement, campaign involvement: report www.foxnews.com/politics/michelle-obama-in-talks-with-biden-team-on-endorsement-campaign-involvement-reportShe has even raised speculation that she might run for president or that she could be Biden’s running mate. who would have thought?? If she is willing and Biden refuses he is crazier then even I think, hard to image

I'd start getting my news from a credible source jimbo if I were you, I'll be a hostage to fortune here and say there is zero chance Michelle Obama will be Bidens VP, in fact if it was possible for the chances to be less than zero I'd go with the lowest possible.
My feeling is will want a woman, I know Warren wants it, she's been quite open about that, but I think he'll go for a younger one with a chance to run after his time's over.

Yes. Same here. I think Michelle O doesn't want it, never wanted it. It might not be zero chance but if you offered me 100 to 1, I wouldn't put a dollar on.
Warren said she's accept if offered, but I don't think Biden will offer it to her. She's too old when Biden himself is so old. Also, she's from a state with a Republican governor who'd appoint her replacement until they could have an election, and the Democrats can't afford to risk a single Senate seat.
Biden has said it will be a woman (which I think was unnecessary pandering, but there you go), so my guess in order of likelihood:
Kamala Harris Tammy Duckworth Amy Klobuchar Tammy Baldwin Michelle Lujan Grisham Gretchen Whitmer Stacey Abrams Catherine Cortez Masto Susan Rice Kate Brown Liz Warren . . . Me Karen Pence Michelle Obama

And? Doesn't seem like a big deal to me. Are any of these people actually voting twice? In Britain when I was at university I regularly got voting slips in both my University and Home addresses. I could have voted twice, as - probably - could millions of others. We didn't, because people tend not to do stuff that's against the law even when the opportunity presents itself.
