It appears that the entire defence case is now that the house impeachment managers had a typo on a tweet and something said 2020 instead of 2021. And therefore the evidence is doctored and therefore Trump never did anything. (Although it should be noted that Trump doing nothing while a mob was storming the Capitol and trying to overturn an election and maiming and killing police is itself impeachable - the fact that he refused to tell them to stop, the fact that he refused to allow the National Guard in means it was, in the best possible scenario for him, a complete dereliction of duty). |
