He was acquitted, as expected, but not declared innocent, even Moscow Mitch just said as much, its just only 7 GOP senators had enough backbone to vote what they all mostly agreed was the case, that Trump wanted to be installed as dictator and after failing to get Pence to magically do something and only getting Cruz and his sedition caucus up to a mear handful, sent a mob in to over turn the democratically elected gov.
That UJ and the other unhinged right wingers here are cheering on someone intent on ending democracy is no surprise mind

The GOP, apart from 7 in the senate and 10 in the house are all scared of loosing the crazies in the cult come election time, they were willing to see an end to US democracy and the instalation of an autocracy rather than risk loosing office. The cowardice and lack of backbone is shameful.
They could well regret this, they got lucky Trump was so lazy and stupid, next time it could be a Putin-esk figure cleaver enough to actually succeed where Trumps incompetence failed.

As for Moscow Mitch, he's been hinting he thinks Trump will face criminal prosecution around his promulgation of the Big Lie and the incitement to riot. Like a good jellyfish he's hoping someone with an actual backbone willtake care of the problem of Trump holding the GOP hostage for him
