You should start cutting senior doctors’ pay first.
And should start cutting the massive kickbacks given to Friends Of Tories.

A welcome "plummet" to 3.4% - well done all you suppliers of goods and services everywhere. Meanwhile, in unrelated news, all these countries are down too: Belgium 3.2%; Denmark 0.8%; France 3.0%; Germany 2.5%; Greece 2.9%; Italy 0.8% ; Netherlands 2.8%; Poland 2.8%; Spain 2.8% etc. etc. etc. ... EU average 2.6% So, bearing in mind that all these countries' inhabitants will insist on driving cars, eating food and using energy, there must be some underlying reason why the UK inflation rate remains stubbornly higher than that of our closest neighbours. Could it just be that the underlying rate (which does not include food, energy etc. and is far more geared to the markets' perception of government policy) is still too high? You decide. More winning, obvs.

Another eusless tit resigns. "Leo Varadkar has resigned as Ireland’s prime minister and leader of his Fine Gael party in a move that will increase pressure on his coalition government to call a general election. The Taoiseach made the announcement at Government Buildings in Dublin on Wednesday, bringing an end to his second stint as Ireland’s leader. “After careful consideration and soul searching,” he said, “I don’t feel I’m the best person for the job anymore.” " www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2024/03/20/leo-varadkar-step-down-irish-prime-minister/

Two small points, Sparky ...
- WTAF does this have to do with Brexit (again)? - If Varadkar's premature departure forces an election, then great - democracy at work.
Nothing to see here. Move on. You get that - right?

Btw, the Irish inflation rate is, like the UK's, at 3.4% - 0.8% above the EU norm - just sayin'.
Also, Varadkar has gone. Compare and contrast with the Strength-in-Depth Brigade over here.

'Holidaymakers going to EU caught out by 10-year-passport rule' : Numpty is as numpty does (not) ...In fairness, this isn't just a repercussion of Brexit, but it also goes to show that there are still idiots out there who don't check their passports before travelling. Those who are not hard of thinking do this routinely when travelling abroad - not just to the EU and not just post-Brexit either. But yeah - more winning.

Two benefits here. They'll spend all that cash that they'd have wasted in the EU here. And the EU hate us anyway so it's win win.

More accurately, the EU and its constituent countries view us with a mixture of mild amusement and a degree of sympathy. Still, today we have learned where your hatred comes from and where it is targeted.

Yes, at the EU. How have you only just realised that? In other shock news, I also hate the left, Labour, the BBC, the Guardian, Chris Packham, Rangers, the RSPCA etc etc. It's quite a list.
