'Holidaymakers going to EU caught out by 10-year-passport rule' : Numpty is as numpty does (not) ...In fairness, this isn't just a repercussion of Brexit, but it also goes to show that there are still idiots out there who don't check their passports before travelling. Those who are not hard of thinking do this routinely when travelling abroad - not just to the EU and not just post-Brexit either. But yeah - more winning. In fairness, I'd assume that the expiration date on my passport was the important thing if considering when my passport would expire. I know I normally need 6 months left on the passport to travel to most places so try and get my renewal in before that. I didn't know that anyone cared about how old a passport was if the passport was still valid.

Also, 10 years seems a reasonable interval update your passport. I have aged in the last 10 years, grown a beard and become, if anything, even easier on the eye.

I would say silver fox, if I had much grey hair, but I don't .
Handsome stallion of a man.

Oh, 10 years is a reasonable request for updating passports.
It's just that if my passport said it expired on 27 November 2024 but was issued on the 27 March 2014, I'd have assumed that it was valid until 27 November 2024.

I have aged in the last 10 years, grown a beard and become, if anything, even easier on the eye. Is that because with a beard, people can see less of you?

I wonder when the beard fashion will end. It surely must.
I shall probably keep mine anyway. I've never been a slave to fashion and anyway, it suits me.

The beard fashion is weird. You see all these trendy young blokes with massive beards but go back, what, 10, 12 years and they wouldn't have been seen dead with a beard.

Everything comes back. It's only a matter of time before the 1980s PE teacher moustache is back.

I've started seeing thin, whispy moustaches of the kind you used to see on spotty 14 year olds who're trying to show off their masculinity. It's weird.
I've also seen a handful of Ned Flanderses.
But the heavily worked, overwaxed, ornate moustaches that were the thing of hipsters a few years back seem to have gone.
I think, actually, the ludicrous lumberjacky beard is beginning to subside a bit, too.

I think beards are here to stay. Beards are basically make-up for men after all.

Make-up schmake-up.
A beard conveys one a certain gravitas and masculinity that Dior’s Mega Concealer with SPF 104 Hyaluronic-based Pro-Vitamin Instant Retouch Matte Correcting Stick doesn’t.
Except Rylan Clark. Yes - except him.

A beard can cover a multitude of chins.

Good for France. They're more robust than us at this sort of thing. It does seem odd that the state is suing someone though. A civil case? They're better to just chuck her and her family of savages out. Make an example.

And not in a good way…
