WKC three posts up said that he believed that trans women are women who've been dealt a crappy hand in life and who the NHS should support - and he's absolutely right about that. I have no problem with that. Never have. They should be treated with kindness and compassion, not indulged in absurdity. |

And, I reiterate, more harm is done to trans women by excluding them than is done to cis women athletes or "sport". Sport isn't some glorious thing to be protected at all costs even if it means a few people committing suicide. Even in the most idiotic scenario that you present, that women are, in fact, men; and that also hordes of hyper competitive men are guzzling oestrogen in order to finish 2312th in the Womens division of the London Marathon rather than 8922nd in the Mens division... even if that were true, you should still let trans women compete. Because peoples actual lived lives are more important than the idea of sport.

The argument that more trans people suffer if they can't compete in women's sport than women do if they can is entirely specious. Why should any women suffer? It's women's sport.
