Moving is exhausting, even when someone else does most of the work. Good luck both of you/

Voice has been a bit quiet. "Three people have died and four more have been rushed to hospital after a 'major incident' was declared at a care home following a suspected carbon monoxide leak. Dorset Police received a report at 7.16am after they were found dead at Gainsborough Care Home in Swanage, Dorset. The ambulance service had been called two hours earlier, at 5.20am, when they also attended the scene." www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13992037/Three-dead-hospital-carbon-monoxide-Dorset-care-home.html

Wasn't me, I'm franchising these things out now. So many grannies, so little time to have them all "sign here'

Kinell, the bloke fitting the heat pump and new furnace found a gun hidden above the old one today, RCMP had to be called. We're traveling into the US heading down the coast. Hope they don't think we're fleeing justice or something

I see it's "Holloween" today. I expect Andy will be going "trick" or "treating" tonight.

It's interesting how Halloween and Trick or treating has taken over in the UK.
When I was young it was all about 5th. November - Guy Fawkes Night, Fireworks night. Bonfires, Penny for the Guy. Make a guy from old cloths - put a mask on him and stick him on top of the bonfire. Halloween was very low key - if anything.
We used to buy lots of fireworks - mainly Bangers and Rockets - to set off in the garden at home. At school we'd light the bangers in our hands and throw them at each other.
Someone would have a bonfire in their garden with fireworks and we'd all go round there - or to a council one in a local park.
Halloween is much easier to monetarise.

When I was wee, Hallowe'en was a thing in Scotland (and the North of England) and we went guising, dooked for apples and had turnip lanterns. Guy Fawkes wasn't really a big thing although it was starting to become one. My dad was always a bit skeptical about Bonfire night. From his childhood, the annual build a big fire day was Victoria Day. Anyway, Hallowe'en gradually died out during the 80s, I think and was replaced by Holloween (90s?) and Bonfire night became a bigger thing in Scotland. Now hatchet-faced killjoys are doing away with bonfire night and Holloween is the big thing.

I'm attempting to empty the loft. The junk from five boys. Three mine, two - me Lady wife's. But the most stuff is hers!
The Removal man said very clearly - we'll pack and remove everything - BUT WE DON'T DO LOFTS!

Good luck!
Luckily I don’t have too much stuff, constantly moving countries / cities helps keep the junk down. I have had some stuff in storage for 2 years though so looking forward to collecting it!
