Did your map show the NATO troops "massing on the border"? It wasn't my map.

I see Johnson's having a fridgemobile made for his overseas diplomacy trips.

It does look like Bertia has got over it's little tantrum now.

I’m not sure the crisis is exactly over yet. It’s not at all clear that the Russians have started any withdrawal at all.

I think they've reached their peak and are softening up.

It might be interesting to see ERA-equipped Russian tanks dealing with Javelin while without close infantry support (not a good combination, ERA and soft bodies) especially in the slush and slurry of a Spring thaw.
Very much a Home Team's crease.

There's a limit to how long you can keep armies on high alert anyway.

Yeah, the Russians have probably drunk all the antifreeze by now.

Haha. I've just spotted how many Javelins Ukraine has. Put it this way, France has 76 launchers and 260 missiles, Ukraine has 377 launchers and 1200 missiles.

Didn't we give them a bunch plus training?

It's obvious really. Ever since they laughed at him at school sports for being too short.

There you go. From the mouths of babes. Why Putin's strutting about. Nah, that's not right. If NATO had given him a shedload of decent tanks, air superiority fighters or had parked their own in Ukraine, you might have a point. Nato has actually been very restrained. And won. I hope the lesson isn't lost on the Russian electorate.

Meanwhile, Putin's stirring it up in the Balkan states. In my most paranoid moments I wonder if he's considering having a go at Europe.
