"...just days after insisting that Boris Johnson must resign for doing similar."
She wasn't lying to parliament about dozens of champagne and cocaine fuelled parties in the garden of 10 Downing Street while British citizens were under lockdown and unable to visit their dying mums. The Spectator is a pile of shit.

These all sound like Scottish comedy acts from the 80s.

Rab C. Nesbitt was a classic. Wonder if you can get the series?

The Scottish government is about to get a £70m windfall when they fine 700,000 people a thousand pounds each for failure to fill in their census form. Sturgeun yet again shown to be useless. "Hundreds of thousands of Scots are being warned they face a fine of up to £1,000 if they fail to fill in their census form by the end of the month. Officials figures released this week revealed 700,000 householders across Scotland have yet to submit their return, which is a legal requirement. It has led to warnings the process could end with 'useless' data, in what threatens to be a major embarrassment for Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon. Her SNP ministers at Holyrood previously decided to delay the census by a year due to the impact of the Covid pandemic. This was despite the audit continuing as planned in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland in 2021. Scotland's census is expected to cost £21.6million more than originally planned. And there has also been some anger at 'politically-skewed' questions included in the once-a-decade survey." www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10758461/Nicola-Sturgeon-facing-census-shambles-700-000-households-warned-1-000-fines.html

Following on the heels of the SNP's census fuckup, welcome to the world of dismal flagship policy failures. Minimum alcohol pricing. A costly balls-up by the puritanical, po-faced posturing politicos. "MUP has cost Scottish consumers £270million since it was introduced in 2018. And we knew from previous research that it has had no impact on crime and no impact on alcohol-related accident-and-emergency admissions. There has been no fall in alcohol-related hospital admissions since it was introduced. Alcohol-specific deaths reached a nine-year high in 2020. Scotland’s alcohol-specific death rate that year was 50 per cent higher than England’s." www.spiked-online.com/2022/06/07/minimum-pricing-for-alcohol-has-been-an-utter-failure/

For a supposed Scottish Nationalist Party, they clearly don't understand Scots.
"In line with the above, MUP led to increased financial strain for a substantial minority of those with alcohol dependence as they obtained extra money via methods including reduced spending on food and utility bills, increased borrowing from family, friends or pawnbrokers, running down savings or other capital, and using foodbanks or other forms of charity."

That reminds me when I first moved to England to go to uni, the very first person that spoke to me was a drunk Glaswegian just outside Kings Cross station. "Goat any spare change, pal?"

Po-faced Presbyterian types were probably behind this. Its always been an odd juxtaposition in Scotland, the drunken Glaswegian and the po-faced Presbyterian vying for the soul of the nation...

Stupid cu nts. "One Police Scotland officer told the party: "Where I work they gave us five new electric vehicles but no charging point. "They had to charge them via one cable through an office window and into a domestic three point socket - guess what happened to the socket. "Now the five vehicles are being deposited overnight in various council car parks across the town, in the hope that no damage comes to them. "Meanwhile, we are back to using the old diesel cars, because at least we know where the service station is." www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/politics/police-stations-across-scotland-given-27745262

Electric car manufacturers? Not really - they're doing quite well out of it (for a short-term vanture).

Short-term vanture definitely sounds like a Freudian slip.
Or what's happened if you wake up with no memory of the night before, in a filthy Australian bed with a crispy foreskin.

Hahaha... 'fraid my foreskin was removed when I was a kid, so it would have to be a crispy bell end - perhaps with a bit of blanket fluff and/or the odd tight curly black pube across the eye (which makes you piss over your feet).

If Sturgeon now plans to make the next election a de facto referendum vote, then I wouldn't be surprised in the least if this were to backfire on her.
Leave it for a while, Nicola; Joe McPublic has far more pressing domestic issues than this at the moment.
